Internship
Program:
The internship program brings students together with employers who are interested in helping young men and women learn about their respective career fields. The extent of student exposure during the internship varies from a "shadow" experience, in which the student observes the daily activities of the organisation, to active participation in a project/activity, where the student contributes to ongoing work. Also the organisation may arrange for the intern to spend time with several members over the course of the week. As a participant or observer, the student gains invaluable insight into the challenges of a particular career.
The goal of the internship program is to train and develop the capacity of students in the promotion and protection of intellectual property rights through advocacy, activism, research and education. Student interns gain practical experience in the field, undertake independent research or experience intellectual property rights concerns that are of interest to them.
